Lobbying Position
September 2026

Our position
Egality does not engage in lobbying. We do not seek to influence government or public policy through direct or indirect lobbying activity, and we make no financial or in-kind political contributions.
The difference between our advocacy and lobbying
Egality is an advocacy-led organisation. We champion diversity and representation in medical research and clinical trials, and we use thought leadership to make the case for more inclusive, equitable health research. This advocacy aims to raise awareness and improve practice across our sector.
We distinguish this from lobbying. Our advocacy is not directed at influencing specific legislation or government policy, and we do not undertake activity intended to secure a particular political or legislative outcome. Where our work informs public debate, it does so through evidence, thought leadership, and open engagement, consistent with our evidence-based standard, rather than through lobbying.
Publication and review
This declaration is published on our website and freely available to all. It is approved by Annette Crosse, CEO and Founder, and reviewed at least once every 12 months as part of our annual governance review, so that it continues to reflect how Egality operates.
